Civil registry

The Civil Registry was established in 1819 by the Bourbons, and it has been gathered at the Bourbon Civil Registry (1820-1865). It includes the birth, marriage and death certificates issued by the city registers of the whole current Province of Messina. Almost all the attached files are missing.

Army census

The Recruitment Office Archive holds the Recruitment Lists from the Army for the male residents the districts Messina, Castroreale, Patti e Mistretta (1840-1948) and the Recruitment Lists of the Navy for the classes of 1876-1985.

Recruitment number and military draw number

The Draft Cards archive holds the draft cards of the classes from 1874 to 1911, for privates and non-commissioned officers enrolled in different army corps.
