Civil registry

The Civil Registry archive (from 1820 to 1960) holds the duplicates of the birth, marriage, death and citizenship certificates (from 1866, mostly residence changes), issued by the cities of the province in the Piazza Armerina district (Aidone, Barrafranca, Calascibetta, Enna, Piazza Armerina, Pietraperzia, Valguarnera Caropepe, Villarosa) and those in the Nicosia district (Agira, Assoro, Catenanuova, Centuripe, Cerami, Gagliano Castelferrato, Leonforte, Nicosia, Nissoria, Regalbuto, Sperlinga, Troina). The archive holds the ATTACHED series as well.

Army census

The Recruitment Lists of the province de Enna archive gathers the Recruitment Lists of the male citizens of the classes between 1840 and 1948 called to recruitment examination. There are some gaps between 1887 and 1925.

Recruitment number and military draw number

The Military District holds the files and matriculation sheets of military born in the province of Enna (1921-1945), in which it is possible to find information on the military service performed by both troops and non-commissioned officers up to their discharge.
