Civil registry

The Cosenza State Archive and the Castrovillari Section hold the Cosenza Province Civil Registry (1809-1865), which includes the marriage processes.

Army census

The Cosenza Recruitment Office file holds the Recruitment Lists (classes of 1842-1949). The file also includes the list of dodgers (classes of 1902-1920), reformed (1874-1914), re-evaluated (classes of 1910-1920), and the examined by proxy (1917-1919).

Recruitment number and military draw number

The Military District of Cosenza holds the Draft Cards (classes of 1842-1944) from the Cosenza and Castrovillari Military District (the last was suppressed in 1930).

We would like to highlight a file that could be useful for genealogic research: the so-called Catasto onciario (2nd half of the 18th century) held at the Naples State Archive, and which allow us to reconstruct the family books of the residents in Southern Italy, which by that time belong to the Kingdom of Naples.
